Blanket Cinema: Screenings for Children
This year, Wiz-Art is introducing a new format for the first time: film screenings for the youngest cinema lovers.
We warmly invite you and your children to curated selections of films for kids aged 4+. The screenings will take place at the Lviv Art Palace in Kinokhalabuda—a special space where children and parents can enjoy cinema together.
Dates: Sept 25: 15:00, 15:30, 16:00; Sept 26: 14:30, 15:00, 15:30; Sept 27: 15:00, 15:30, 16:00.

The Restless
“The Restless” is a journey into the world of those who aren’t afraid to be themselves: brave, curious, quirky, and just a little restless. After all, discovering who you are and embracing the differences in others is no easy adventure — but an exciting one. We’ll travel to Planet Prut, a world made entirely of waste; meet a Fox who discovers the magic of books; and Bruno, a very, very wide boy whose friends have prepared a special gift for him. And to top it all off, there are two Ukrainian animated films with songs that are sure to stay in your head long after the credits roll.

The Carrot Warrior, upon discovering his enslaved kin, performs a magical ritual and urges them to open their eyes to their utter lack of rights in this cruel world. Who is he? A half-mad Don Quixote defying the eternal plant-animal dualism? Or a warrior-prophet pointing others toward the path of salvation in an open field of possibilities? The choice is left to the viewer.
PROUT 8′ Marc-Henri Wajnberg, Belgium, 2025
Obsolete household appliances and waste of all kinds are sent to the planet Prout, Earth’s dumping ground. Bean and Spaghet, two little emergency workers from this strange planet, go on an emergency mission to save one of their friends who has been crushed by debris falling from the sky.
Yes, You Can
“Yes, You Can” is a selection about having the courage to be yourself, like the hero of “A Bird in the Head”; to joke and sing like “Little Kak-Kak-Kak”; and to love and cherish the things you find, like a boy named Guy. Because sometimes, everything incredible and beautiful is already right there beside us — all we need to do is take a closer look, just like Esther does in the animated film “Astral.”

A whimsical and touching story about the importance of finding oneself.
My Friend
“My Friend” is a selection exploring the many sides of friendship: friends who are ready to join you in any adventure, as in “The Metro Under the Chicken Coop,” and the vulnerability we feel when trying to connect with someone new, as in “?”. In “The Passing Day,” Mrs. Mouse Piedade does everything she can to build that special bond with someone who shares her passions, without immediately recognizing who her true friend really is. And “The Broken Antenna” reminds us just how generous, warm, and rewarding a connection can be between those who are willing to be there for one another.

Angel settles into a new place and befriends a neighboring angel. As time passes, only he sends cloud-questions but receives none in return. As his neighbor prepares to leave, he stands on his last remaining cloud, facing one final choice.
WITH EACH PASSING DAY… 10′ Emanuel Nevado, Portugal, 2024
Mrs. Piedade is an old mouse who lives in a small village in the mountainous interior of Portugal. Her existence is mainly composed of loneliness, memories, and a hardened routine, guided by the regular beat of the clock and the tea she drinks with her friends, two sisters who live in the same village.

WIRELESS 7′ Nina Mégroz, Switzerland, 2025
In a world where people communicate with each other by connecting their antennas. Neta seems to have some connection problems. Her antenna may be faulty or perhaps this so common way of connecting is not made for her.
