Screens for Teens: Me and Others

This year, Wiz-Art is introducing film screenings for teenagers: stories about self-understanding, relationships, emotional experiences, and discoveries.

FISH IN MY STOMACH 7′ Yehor Holovkov, Ukraine, 2026

A lonely man wakes up to discover a live fish inside his stomach. Desperate for answers, he follows a mysterious group of men who seem to share his condition, only to find himself pulled into a strange and unsettling world.

ICARUS 20′ Christos Kardana, Belgium, France, Greece, United Kingdom, 2025

A freediving boy, desperate to connect with his grieving father, pushes himself to the limit underwater.

DOG EAR 20′ Péter Vácz, Hungary, 2025

Eleven-year-old Berci spends an afternoon alone with his dog, struggling with the emotions left behind after witnessing his parents’ violent fight the day before. As his suppressed feelings surface, he releases his anger and aggression in tense and emotional interactions with his dog. These raw expressions eventually help Berci find relief and discover the quiet, transformative strength of forgiveness.

ON SAINT NICHOLAS’ EVE 11’Emy-Mirel Ivașcă, Romania, 2025

After seeing a man lying in the snow, a boy recalls a Saint Nicholas night spent with his father years before. Playing with his father takes an unexpected turn, while his dream toy leaves a bitter aftertaste.

BORDERLINE 2’Veronika Aiuvdzhy, Ukraine, 2025

In 2025, many Ukrainian cities continue to suffer from the war started by russia. Although countless people face danger and trauma every day, this experience is no longer felt as intense as it was at the start of the invasion. Despite the war, people strive to live ordinary lives, witness construction and destruction happening side by side, switch instantly between opposite emotions, and find joy in circumstances where it might seem impossible.

OSTRICH 8′ Marie Kenov, Switzerland, 2025

Day in and day out, a sparrow sees images of ostriches everywhere: on posters, in ads, and on its smartphone. In awe of the ostriches, with their long necks, dazzling eyes, and muscular legs, the little bird wants to be just like them.
