Some 21st-Century Problems

This programme of Lithuanian short films invites us to take a closer look at some of the problems of contemporary life. While many of the problems we face are universal and timeless, every period has its own specific problems, reflecting the realities of its time. Some of the problems of our time are criticised for being overly individualistic and sometimes even superficial, yet they offer a vivid reflection of the world we live in.

But perhaps these problems are simply contemporary reflections of more fundamental, universal concerns? Either way, this film programme offers a chance to think about the issues of our time, look at what lies behind them, and consider our own problems in the broader context of the problems facing the world.
