WHAT IF WE RUN OUT OF STONES? // 7’, Nora Štrbová, Czechia, 2025

What if everything in the world were equal, with no distinction between the value of the living and the inanimate? Matter observes, feels, perceives, judges, and suffers us. It is our silent witness, sometimes more influential than we realize. The film seeks to explore this idea through its protagonists, the stones. It extends empathy toward them and metaphorically connects with everything marginalized in our world. A short film about the life of the stones among us shot on 35 mm.

XYLELLA FASTIDIOSA // 22’, Thomas Colineau, France, 2025

Simon works in a garden center in the south of France, alongside his mother, who is as kind as she is overbearing. When he is ghosted by Corentin, he is confronted with his loneliness. In the wondrous atmosphere of the greenhouse, where chatty plants echo his thoughts, he converses with another absence that helps him move forward: Hyacinth, an imagined adult who resembles him and understands him without the need for explanation. Xylella fastidiosa is a tribute to an entire generation decimated by HIV/AIDS, leaving a void in its wake.

BAD IDEAS // 12’, Jan Bujnowski, Poland, 2025

Is there any connection between sunglasses, high school friends and diminutive names? And could it have something to do with sombrero hats?

FREE ELIZA (NOTES ON AN ANATOMICAL IMPERFECTION) // 20’, Alexandra Matheou, Cyprus, France, Greece, 2026

Eliza works at a hotel resort, moving through a cycle of roles designed to keep guests constantly satisfied. Beneath the hotel’s polished surface, she struggles to maintain an unseen private life, all while carrying a rare anatomical condition: she is physically unable to smile. In a world obsessed with toxic positivity, Eliza must decide whether to change herself to fit in, or resist by remaining exactly who she is.

QUANTUM JUMP // 10’, Šimon Mészáros, Czechia, 2026

After falling in love with death, a man sets out on a surreal journey to escape the life—and the role—that should have defined him. As the world crumbles into fading echoes of meaning, he discovers renewal within the ruins of the universal self.
