You are welcome to come and listen to the workshop of director Clara Stern and cinematographer Johannes Höß from Austria on the 10th of March. Clara and Johannes have been working together for five years, and they won Austrian Academy Award for Best Short Film 2018, Diagonale Award for Best Short Film 2017 and others.
The result of their collaboration is three completed short films, two screenplays for feature films and one serial in progress. We will watch one of their films during the workshop.
What is the secret of the successful cooperation of key-members during the production process? What recipe Clara and Johannes have found for themselves?
Clara Stern studied directing with the tutoring of Professor Wolfgang Murnberger and Michael Haneke, Screenwriting and Dramaturgy with the tutoring of Professor Götz Spielmann at Film Academy Vienna, University for Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, Austria.
In 2018 she won Austrian Academy Award for MATHIAS and the main award “Carl-Mayer-Screenplay Award” of the city of Graz, Austria, for “Working Ghosts” (treatment for a feature film, co-authorship with Johannes Höß).
In 2016 she won the main award “Carl-Mayer-Screenplay Award” of the city of Graz, Austria, for Training (treatment for a
feature film) and award at “IF SHE CAN SEE IT SHE CAN BE IT Screenplay Competition” held by the Austrian Screenwriters Guild and the Austrian Film Institute, 2016 with You won’t need that to be happy (Exposé for a feature film; co-authorship with Johannes Höß)
Since 2018 Johannes Höß has been studying master Studies of Cinematography with the tutoring of Professor Wolfgang Thaler at Film
Academy Vienna, University for Music and Performing Arts, Austria. Also, he finished the same bachelor degree, studied Art History at the University of Vienna, Austria, Community Service at the Florida Holocaust Museum, USA, Photography and Audiovisual Media at the Institution for Graphics, Austria.
