Competition Rules & Regulations LISFF 2021

Lviv International Short Film Festival Wiz-Art accepts submissions of short films of all genres for the International Competition. The films must have been completed after January 1st, 2020 and their runtime must not exceed 34 minutes. Commissioned works made for advertising or PR purposes are not eligible.
Ukrainian Competition can either be made by Ukrainian filmmakers or by non-Ukrainian nationals residing in Ukraine. The films must have been completed after January 1st, 2020 and their runtime must not exceed 34 minutes. The selection committee of the UA Competition can nominate films to also participate in the International Competition.
Films that were previously shown at LISFF Wiz-Art or films previously rejected cannot be submitted again.
All films must be presented in their original version with English subtitles embedded in digital format (H264).

Jury
The jury consists of three international experts. The jury watches all films in competition during the festival.
Submission / Deadline
The entry form for every film must be completed and submitted online together with all required documentation by 1st of April 2021 (early bird deadline) for international and Ukrainian films and 11th of May 2021 with a late bird deadline conditions.
The festival does charge a submission fee. All fees are non-refundable.
Submission fee is free for Ukrainian filmmakers for early-bird deadline and representatives of film schools from around the world.
Notification
The festival confirms submissions by an automatically generated email after receipt of a valid preview copy. We kindly ask you to refrain from calling us to inquire about the receipt of your material. All applicants will be notified via email about the selection or rejection of their film at mid of May 2021. The selection committee’s decision to select or reject a film is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Once a film is selected for the Competition of LISFF Wiz-Art, it can no longer be withdrawn.
Copyright / Reproduction
With their application, the applicant confirms that they possess all rights necessary for the screening of their film at a film festival.
Lviv International Short Film Festival Wiz-Art is granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for screening at the Festival for promotional purposes.
Any further use of a film not mentioned in these regulations will be discussed with the applicant.
