Closing party: Alexander & Alexandra Krolikowski

party

On May 24 at 11 pm, Underground Club (17, Kopernika str.) hosts the closing party of the 8th Lviv International Short Film Festival WIZ-ART

Alexander Krolikowski & Alexandra Krolikowska (also known as Plasticfantastic and Electric Psychedelic Pussycat, and as Squirrel Institute) are among the most mysterious figures of the avant-garde scene. A few years ago the duo could be heard at open-air festivals in Crimea; later they became residents of Palace Club in Goa.

But after a visit to the Indian city of Varanasi the duo’s behaviour changed abruptly, and any sequence or logic vanished from their sets. Where they used to play Techno-Trance and J-Core at Crimean festivals and in Goa, today the androgyne living in two bodies (that is how the members of the duo describe themselves) recognises no boundaries of style.

Nobody knows what will happen next time: perhaps gloomy synth-punk inspired by the mystics of Can, perhaps an electronic music performance, or a light and airy DJ set. Alexander and Alexandra seem to follow principles they keep strictly secret, paying no attention to the devilish temptations of show business.
