The Lviv International Film Festival Wiz-Art will be held on September 22–27, 2026. Film submissions are already open.

LIFF Wiz-Art will take place on September 22–27, 2026. The festival has been held in Lviv for 17 years — it is the oldest event dedicated to short films in Ukraine, but since 2025 the program has also included feature films. The theme and full program of the 17th Wiz-Art will be announced later.
Submissions for Wiz-Art 2026 are now open. You can submit a short film up to 34 minutes in the following categories: “animated,” “fiction,” “experimental,” “documentary,” and “Ukrainian.” Ukrainian feature-length fiction and documentary films are also accepted.
Film submissions are accepted via the FilmFreeway platform.
Wiz-Art has been held annually since 2008. At various times, Antonio Lukich, Pavlo Ostrikov, Kateryna Hornostai, Nariman Aliev and other directors who now represent Ukrainian cinema internationally debuted here. Wiz-Art is the only Ukrainian film festival that is part of the European Film Academy network. Each year, Wiz-Art also nominates a Ukrainian film for the European Short Film Audience Award. The nominated film then goes on a European tour across 10 countries and competes for the award.
The 16th edition of the festival was held under the theme “Balconies of Time.” A total of 58 films were screened, including new works by Kyrylo Zemlianyi, Mykyta Lyskov, Yehor Harmash, as well as international films recognized by the Oscars and Cannes. The special online program Wiz-Art 2025 was shown on the Megogo platform.
