The Illusion of a Quiet Night: Wiz-Art 2026 Feature Films

On the night of July 27–28, 2025, forty cinematographers and hundreds of people captured a single summer night in Ukraine. From the northern forests to the front lines, from the temporarily occupied territories to the border towns and villages, this film is a collective portrait of a nation that has been living through a large-scale war for four years. 

Through a polyphonic montage – moving from the general to the personal – it depicts everyday life, where, amid fear, exhaustion, and brief flashes of joy, resilience emerges, along with the hope that one day, this night will pass.
