Hervé Demers: films and Q&A



Hervé Demers is a filmmaker based in Montreal, Canada. His previous short films have been selected by over 100 international festivals, garnering such honours as the Tamashii (“Soul”) Award at the CON-CAN Movie Festival in Japan and the award for Best Emerging Filmmaker at the 61st Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival in Canada. He is an active member of Les Films de l’Autre, a production company run by 30 filmmakers who both direct and produce their own works, and has been a member of its board of directors since 2011. Le nom que tu portes (The Name You Carry), his fourth narrative short, premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France.
